I found this product while I was browsing on the internet. It is called Boxed Water. I honestly have never heard of this before and thought I would see if anyone else had?
"About 76% of the Boxed Water container is made from a renewable resource, trees, that when harvested in a responsible, managed, and ethical way serve as an amazing renewable resource that benefits the environment even as it's renewed. We ship our boxes flat to our filler which is significantly more efficient compared to shipping empty plastic or glass bottles to be filled. The flat, unfilled boxes we can fit on 2 pallets, or roughly 5% of a truckload, would require about 5 truckloads for empty plastic or glass bottles. Our cartons can also be broken down to their original flat state, and are recyclable in some areas. We're also giving 20% of our profits back to the resources our product is composed of - water and trees. Not only does it simply make sense, but we really enjoy supporting water and forestation organizations as it's part of our company's ethos and way of thinking to give back and participate".
Let me know what you think about this new product!

I never heard of this before either. It's good that they are trying to save resources, but I still don't see why people don't just use the water from the facet. You can always use a filter. Boxed does sound way better than using plastic though.
ReplyDeleteThis is so unique, I have heard of water in a can before but never a box. I agree with Alyssa with the fact that people should just filter their tap water, becaus it would result in much less waste.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I have definitely never heard of this before! Better for the environment AND they give profits back to the resources used for the product! This is the neatest thing since.. bottled water. (hehe:)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this before either. It is an interesting and realistic concept since even though people can drink faucet water, they still insist on buying bottled. I think this is a great alternative and it is moving in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great product. I am in love. What an alternative to bottle water this is. I think that for those of us who chose to purchase bottled water for whatever reason, this is a great product. I understand that it would be best to filter tap water, but hey, every step in the right direction counts.
ReplyDeleteI think this product is pretty cool, especially for people who insist on buying bottled water daily. Although in my mind it's no substitution for filling up your own water bottle every day, it's great to hear they're conserving resources and thinking about the earth.
